Date: 22nd Annual Spring Photography Contest 2002
Description: As a finalist Larry's image of "Cattails Bend" was selected by Neil Campbell, Photo Editor and will be published in the BEST OF PHOTOGRAPHY 2002 ANNUAL. This year Larry was a finalist in the top 7%. Over 21,300 entries were received from all over the world! In addition to the U.S. and Canada 22 countries participated, including Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bosnia, France, India, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico and Norway. The Annual is sold to college libraries and instructors of photography, art and graphic design, and general subscribers.

Award: THE PHOTO REVIEW 18th ANNUAL PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION 2002
Date: JUDGE: Melissa Harris - Editor, Aperture magazine
Description: Larry's image "Cello Concerto" (taken at the U. District Street Fair), has been accepted for inclusion in the summer 2002 issue of the Photo Review. He was among the top 2% of over 3,500 entries. The Photo Review is a critical journal of photography with an international scope and readership and has reproduced work by such masters as Minor White, Alfred Stieglitz and Ansel Adams - Stephen Perloff, Editor.
Where: Winners will be exhibited at the photography gallery at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia.

Description: PFI-"River Music" and PFI-"Luminous" were selected for exhibit that will tour the State of Texas for one year. "River Music received a cash award and Honerable Mention. Elizabeth Ferrer, Juror - is the former Director of the visual arts department and curator of the Gallery of the Americas Society in New York. She has written extensively on Art and Photography. 225 Artists from 32 states submitted 1525 images in this competition.

Award: NORTHWEST EXHIBITION OF ENVIRONMENTAL PHOTOGRAPHY 2001
Date: GALA OPENING April 20, 2001 from 4pm-6:30pm. at Rainier Square. Awards at 7:pm at Benaroya Hall.
Description: Larry's Image "PLUME" was selected as BEST OF ENVIROMENTAL ISSUES. Judges: Patrick Donehue - Vice President of Commercial Photography, Corbis Images. Steve Freligh - Editor-in-Chief, Natures Best Magazine. Tom Wear, Manager of Royalty-Free Content, Getty Images Inc. Mission Statement:To promote awareness of the critical need to preserve and protect the beauty and diversity of our natural world and its cultures through the visual messages of Northwest photographers.
Where: Rainier Square is located at 1333 5th Avenue in downtown Seattle. Benaroya Hall's Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall (Entrance on Third Avenue & Union Street) in downtown Seattle.
